Take a Blue Ridge Parkway hike in the Craggies

by Dryridgeinn on July 26, 2014

Blue Ridge Parkway rangers will lead a hike to the “Pinnacle of the Craggies.” Meet at 10 a.m. Friday at the Craggy Dome Overlook Parking Area, Milepost 363, which is just north of the tunnel near the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center.

The hike is a moderate, 1.4-mile round trip to the top of the Craggy Pinnacle Trail. Learn about the geologic formations of the area and the unique plants that live there. Bring water, good hiking shoes and plan for changeable weather.

For more information, call the Parkway Visitor Center at 298-5330, ext. 304.
