Spring 2014 Tour: Saturday & Sunday, April 26-27

by Dryridgeinn on April 14, 2014

The Weaverville Art Safari is a free, self-guided tour of artists’ home studios in the scenic area surrounding the villages of Weaverville and Barnardsville, NC. This event has been going on, each spring and fall, since April 2001. It has brought thousands of visitors to this wonderful part of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Weaverville is located just 10 minutes north of Asheville, NC — the epicenter of art, culture and vacation fun in Western North Carolina. Safari visitors are granted direct access to the home studios of a wide variety of artists who live and work in this area.

Items available for purchase during this tour come from many fine art mediums including Jewelry, Glass Art, Paintings, Garden Art, Sculpture, Pottery, Furniture, Fiber Arts, woodworking and more! As experienced art collectors will testify, a major benefit of studio tours is direct-from-the-source pricing, so think about Art Safari as a way to find unique and beautiful art treasures at reasonable prices.

As usual you can download a copy of our 4-color brochure (which includes a studio map) right here. Brochures will also be available at many galleries, hotels and restaurants in the Greater Asheville area during the months of March & April, as well as at our downtown Weaverville Art Safari information booth during Art Safari weekend.

Our Preview Party & Silent Auction will take place on the Friday evening before the tour starts. It will be in Weaverville’s Town Hall on South Main Street. Please read all about it on the Tour Info page.

For the time being we’re continuing to post details re the artists who participated in our fall tour (many will return for the spring show) and the fine people and businesses who sponsor our event. Both the Artists Page and the Our Sponsors page will be refreshed in mid-March.

If you are an artist who is interested in becoming a member, or you have any questions and/or comments about the Weaverville Art Safari, the Contact Us page is the place to go.

Here’s hoping we’ll see you in April. We promise you’ll enjoy your visit.
